Scooter Gierisch met his wife, Shannon, in the summer of 1985, and married the love of his life in September of 1987, Shannon and Scooter have 2 adult children, Amanda Bordelon-Ross and husband, Connor, Trey Gierisch, wife, Amber, and grandson, Cade, both married to wonderful Christian spouses. The Gierisch family has strong family values that align with their faith. He served as a deacon and Worship Leader at Hilltop Church in Roanoke and Alliance Church (now North Texas). Scooter is a dedicated member of the North Texas Church of Christ, where he serves as a deacon and Worship Leader, with multiple important responsibilities. As part of his role, Scooter oversees the church's website, manages weekly communications, and leads the congregation in worship. His technical expertise is evident in his oversight of the church's online streaming services and digital sign, ensuring that the church's message reaches both in-person and virtual attendees. As a worship leader, Scooter plays a significant part in the church's spiritual life, guiding the congregation in praise and devotion. He spent several summers attending the Texas Normal Singing School to improve his role as a Worship Leader, later becoming an instructor and coach at the singing school. Scooter's involvement as a deacon suggests a deep commitment to his faith and a desire to serve his church community. Deacons are known for their servant leadership and dedication to supporting the spiritual and practical needs of the congregation. Scooter is actively involved in his community as the longest-serving mayor of Roanoke, Texas. He serves as Vice President of Speedway Children's Charities-Texas.
